This blog is going to be the general musings of a guy well past his prime. It may contain humor from the antics of his seven grown children or his five (soon to be seven) grandchildren or even his senior self. It may contain items related to religion, philosophy, or politics. It may contain non sequitur hints and helps for calculus, software engineering, or how to grill a great meal for family or friends.

Grandkids' Corner and Quips

Many times the grandchildren come up with amazing insight (or incredible one-liners), even though they have no clue that they have. I'll keep a few of their views of reality here.

My wife and I, and one of our grandsons, went to a local pizzeria to pick up some pizzas we had ordered. As my wife was getting out of the van, I reminded her to please use her Capital One card instead of the debit card. She exited and headed off into the pizzeria. After a very short pause, our grandson said: "Capital one card? Why not a lower-case card?" He then elucidated that he figured we could get big pizzas with the capital card and a small pizza just for him with the lower-case card. I would never have thought of that particular "scrambalization" of ideas.
